Goodnight iPAD and Super Bowl Predictions

Goodnight iPAD and Super Bowl Predictions

Goodnight iPAD
Over the weekend, I went to Barnes and Noble.  While getting lost in all the amazing books, I came across this book.  My son LOVES Goodnight Moon and I thought this book would be perfect for him.  During Halloween he received Goodnight Goon, so knowing how my son loves the Goodnight stories and his iPad, I knew I HAD to buy this book.  We read this book the other night before my son went to bed.  It is so true and funny.  It is great for the i generation!  I can't wait to take it to school and read it to my class.  I know they will get a kick out of it.  I wish I would have thought to create this book.  It gets a A+.

Super Bowl Predictions
Oh, how I love Pinterest!  It has given me so many amazing ideas.  Here is one I found via Pinterest.  It is from A Cupcake for the Teacher, on her Teachers Pay Teachers site.   I changed my players a little bit by added the students picture to the football player. I had the students all make a mean/tough face and I took their picture.  Then I printed it off on a 8 by 11 piece of paper.  Here are a couple of the Team Wolfe players! Grrrrrr..  ;-)

With this football player creation, there was also a writing activity.  The students had to predict who is going to win the big game.  It was very interesting listening to their ideas about who was going to win and why they thought so.   Some of my students chose the Giants to win because they are giants.  I thought that was funny that the Giants were giant.  (hehehe)
Patriots always win.
