100th Day and Week 3 FMD

This was the week we celebrated the 100th Day of School!  We had the 100th Day on Hump Day!

Here are some of the activities we did to celebrate the 100th Day!

We made adorable crazy 100th Day hats!  10 stickers of each of the 10 paper strips.

We took a silly picture with our crazy 100th Day hats!

We made creative pictures out of a 100.  I cut a 1 and two zeros for each kiddo.  They had to use their imagination and create a picture with it.

Here are some of the designs my students came up with.

I have very creative students.  I was impressed at what they came up with. Way to go Wolfelicious!

Next, we made a 100th Day Snack Mix.  I had asked the parents to donate items for our snack mix.  We had 10 different items.  Each students counted 10 of each items for a total of 100 items for their snack!

My students LOVED the mix!  I had a few students eat the whole bag of snack.

My class is making scrapbooks for the end of the year.  Each month I try to add a picture to each student's page.  I thought for the month of January I would use this 100th Day photo.

I thought it would be a good reminder of the fun day!

This week on the FMD (Fast Metabolism Diet) I made some delicious food.

Chicken Sausage, Brown Rice Noodles, Broccoli, Tomatoes, Zucchini, Onions, and some spices.  Yummo!

Then I also made some Stuffed Red Bell Peppers!

 They were delicious too!

I fell off the diet one night but I am back on and trying to do my best.  I know this is a healthy diet, however I don't want to be without sugar the rest of my life.  One week to go!!  9 pounds down!  (Loving that!)

Here is my Week 3 Plan.

Crafts and sweaters

So, last week the weather was chilly here in Florida.  I actually had to break out a sweater and turn on the heat in my house.  Brrr....

Martin Luther King Junior Day is today.  I took my day off of school and decided to get some crafts finished that have been sitting around.

Here is my wine bottle craft I made.

I LOVED how this turned out!  I think it is so beautiful!  I put the bottles above my cabinets in the kitchen.  This craft was more difficult than what I thought it would be.  The skinny part of the bottle was a breeze getting the yarn on it, but the curved part was a big pain.  I couldn't wait to get all four bottles finished.  Just a warning if you attempt this... try to find bottles without a lot of curve.

Here are some items that may be helpful for you in the coming weeks!

FMD Week 2 Overview

I am about to finish my second week on the Fast Metabolism Diet (FMD).  This week was harder for me because I didn't plan the whole week out.  I have noticed I do a lot better with a meal plan all set up.  You can read my first post about the Fast Metabolism Diet {here}.

The Fast Metabolism Diet by Haylie Pomroy

This week I ate a lot of the same foods I did the previous week.  When I made the different soups, I froze them in the serving size I would need so it would be easy to grab to eat.

I am still craving all the things I am not supposed to have on this diet.  I want chocolate, rolls, cake, wine, you name it, I want it.  But I think it is because I am not supposed to have it so it makes me want it more.  This week I lost 2 more pounds.  I even went out to dinner and did a pretty good job.  I am seeing how this diet is not really a diet.  How is it going to be a lifestyle change.  I am doing much better this week too, drinking more and more water.  I pretty much it my goal in water everyday.  Woot! Woot!

Here is the plan for my 2 week!

Make sure you go check out my Pinterest Boards.  Lots of great meals.

Thanks for stopping by!  I am off to create my week 3 plan.

If you have started a diet, keep it up!! It will pay off!

FMD week 1 overview

The Fast Metabolism Diet by Haylie Pomroy
Monday I started the Fast Metabolism Diet (FMD).  I knew I needed to do something.  My clothes were tight and I just wasn't happy with myself.  I had bought the book over the summer and I felt I was now ready to take the next step.

I planned meals on Saturday.  I wrote them out and posted them on my fridge.  I also entered them in the app. I used the rest of Saturday and Sunday to make some of the soups and freeze them.  My thinking was if I have everything planned out I will be more likely to stick with it.

Here is my menu.

What I have noticed is that I am eating very very healthy, which is awesome.  I am hoping to stick with it for the full 28 days but chocolate and cheeseburgers keep sounding really yummy.  I love the recipes I have made so far.  They have been very good.

I have lost 5 pounds in this first week!  Wahoo!!  It does make me want to stick with it when I can see results right away.

The downfall with the diet is that it is supposed to be a lifestyle change. That sounds great but I think I might miss my desserts and bread too much. I can't wait to see how I feel after the 28 days. Maybe I won't crave those things. Also some of the items you are supposed to use to cook with are difficult to find. Plus I find eating healthy is really expensive. I don't even buy all organic and it is still costing and arm and a leg. I hope I can continue with the program.

I have setup some Pinterest boards with fabulous food choices for each Phase.

Phase 2
Phase 3
Go check them out.

I will keep you updated.  Are you making a lifestyle change for 2014?  Leave a comment of what you are doing.
