Dining and Living Room Makeover

Do you hear me screaming?  Really, you don't?  I am very surprised!  I just finished redoing my Living and Dining Room and every time I walk through it I scream.  This isn't a bad scream.  It is a very happy, that I can't believe this is my room scream.  I can't wait to share these rooms with you. 

 Now onto the Living Room.  Here is the before picture.  Don't look at the red lamp shade, I was deciding if I liked it.  Not bad but nothing too exciting.

Here is the after picture.

 Added a curtain. New lamps and shades. New pillows. New decor.

 New rug.

Love these.  Got these from Hobby Lobby in the clearance sections. (Woot!  Woot!)

Took my old pillows and made covers for them. Yes, I made the covers. :) 

The lamp shades we got have a design on the inside so when the light is on you see the design.



Unfortunately, I forgot to get a before picture of my Dining Room. :(  Sorry.

Love these candles holders.  One of my many finds at the Hobby Lobby.  I think they go perfect with the rest of the decor.

I love, love, love, my new rooms.  I want to scream every time I walk by the dining room. I just love the rug.  As you can tell I have been very busy so far this summer.

Monday Made It #4

 

I am linking up with Monday Made It with 4th Grade Frolics.

I couple years ago I bought this for my word wall.

I have loved it.  This year since I am switching my classroom theme, I wanted to make a new word wall.  Although blue is part of my theme I wanted to make a black one.  I just thought the black one would be better for me this year.  I bought felt and ribbon.  Then I sewed the ribbon on the felt.  I can't wait to see if it lasts  like the other one I purchased.  Here are some pictures of my creation.  Sorry there is a glare, every time I took a picture I got one, but I still think you will be able to see it.

 The letters I created and they are on TPT and TN.  Here is a close up of them (4 by 4inch).

It is nice and big and it will hold all of our sight words.

Another thing I have been working on is redecorating my house.  I showed you my bedroom last week.  This week one day I will show you more. :)  One of the rooms I will show you is my living room.  For my living room I recovered the pillows I already had to make them fit into my new decor. 

I just LOVE them!!!!
