St. Patrick's Day Fun!

This week was a short week for us.  Today we had a teacher work day to finish up our grade cards.  I assessed my kiddos all week to get their grades for grade cards.  I am always happy when assessment time is done because I am always scared I won't finish in time.  We started our Spring Break today too!!  Yay for Spring Break.  I think everyone is ready for a break.  Since we are now on Spring Break we had to celebrate St. Patrick's Day this week.  Here are some of the activities I did.

First we made Rainbow Wreaths.  The kiddos used watercolors to paint a rainbow circle.  Then they colored and cut 4 clovers and added them to the wreath.

Next we made Lucky Leprechaun Rainbow Hats.

We worked on decomposing numbers. (A common core standard)

We decorated Styrofoam cups in hopes that the Lucky Leprechaun would shrink them.

The Lucky Leprechaun even shrunk my hat!!

My kiddos really enjoyed all these activities.  I think they have a great week before Spring Break!!

I hope you have a Wolfelicious week!  Let me know if you need any Jamberry!!

Easter Wreath

Today is my last day on Spring Break!  Boo!!!  I think I need another week.  Please!  Well, anyways I had a great time during my break.  I was able to relax, clean, organize, blog stalk, visit my mama, and swim.

For my last day I decided to spend it doing laundry, relaxing and making this Easter wreath.

This is how I made it.
Materials:
wreath
green yarn
green sparkly yarn
eggs

I started by using my Hot Glue Gun and putting a dot of glue on the wreath and attaching the yarn to it.  Once the glue is hard, I start wrapping the green yarn around the wreath.

Once finished wrapping the wreath with the green yarn, I use the Hot Glue Gun again to put a dot of glue to glue down the end of the yarn.

Then I do the same exact thing only this time I use the sparkly green yarn.  I also don't wrap it as close as I did before.  I have little gaps of regular yarn between the sparkly yarn.

Once I wrap the sparkly yarn all the way around, I glue the end down.  Then I use the glue gun again and glue the eggs onto the wreath.  Then your wreath is finished!

I hung my wreath on my front door to get a little holiday spirit at my house.

Publix Deals, an Adorable Valentine, and a Sports Wreath

Publix Deals and an Adorable Valentine

I went to Publix tonight.  I thought it wouldn't be busy since it was a Monday.  Boy, was I wrong!  It was packed.  I thought maybe so many people were there because of Valentine's Day tomorrow, but everyone was buying regular groceries.  Well, anyways I spent $63.96 and saved $51.22, however I do have a mail-in rebate for $10 from Tyson so really I saved $61.22.  Woo hoo!!

Adorable Valentine
I wanted to share my son's Valentine's.  He has a Valentine's exchange tomorrow at school.  Here is what I did.  I was nervous because I ordered the pictures from Snapfish on the 6th.  The delivery said it would take from 2 to 4 days.  Boy they were wrong!  I just received them today.  Eeek!  Talk about last minute.  I rushed to open them and check out the pictures.  Then I got busy slicing and stuffing the lollipops.  I think they turned out wonderfully! I love them.  I think they are SO adorable!  I want one. :-)

Sports Wreath
Every holiday my teammates and I switch names to have a secret person.  A week before the holiday we start our exchange.  We buy a dollar present everyday and then on last day we get a five dollar gift.  I decided for this holiday I would make my secret sweetheart her final present.  I decided to make her a Yarn Sports Wreath!  Here is how it turned out.  I think it came out really cute even though I don't care for the team.

The black circles are black felt flowers.  The picture didn't turn out very good.
