Mother's Day is right award the corner. Do you know what you are doing with your class for it? Is there a special project, a celebration, or what do you do? Join the linky to get more ideas.
At my school we plan a special event called Muffins for Moms. We invite all the moms to come have muffins and juice with their child. We read, I Love You Forever and have the students say a part while we read it. We make it a special time for the moms and students. Here are some other ideas that some of my team uses for presents.
This one isn't finished yet, but it will give you the idea. The flowers are pens. The pot will be decorated by the students.
The students use their handprints to make a flower. They write the answers to the poem for their mommy and we add their picture to the flower.
Students use their fingerprints to make ladybugs on a tile.

I hope you join the linky. I am excited to get some new ideas for all the wonderful moms out there.
Love those ideas!

I really love the flower and answers. I did something similar to this last year. But I really like how this just focuses on one mom and not all of the moms in the classroom.
ReplyDeleteThanks. The flower is so cute. I love seeing what the students say about their moms.
