Organization

After wanted to switch around my cupboards and pantry, I finally finished it today.  Here is what they looked like before.

This cupboard was supposed to be for canned food.  I guess this was my pantry because I really didn't have one in my house.  My whole body just aches looking at this now.  What a disaster.  As you can tell there was a little order to it and then I ran out of room so I just threw things in the cupboard.

Again, since I didn't have a pantry, I used cupboards for everything.  This cupboard had my baking goods as well as pasta and boxed items.  Again, it is another disaster.

This is my linen closest.  Another mess!  This closest is around the corner of the kitchen.

So the work began.  I cleaned out all the cupboards and the linen closest.  I thought I was never going to finish.  I laid everything out on my counters in the kitchen.  I sorted through the linen closest deciding what I wanted to keep and what I didn't want any more.  I became very overwhelmed with all the pantry items and didn't know where to even begin figuring out where to put everything.  After a day of thinking about it, I decided to go to the store and buy some tubs to help me organize.  I want to be an organized person, but gosh!, it is expensive to get items to help you organize.  Anyways, I looked at the big mess of everything all laid out all over my kitchen.  I grouped like things together.  Then I put items in tubs that I bought.  I then printed out labels for the tubs and laminated them.  I stuck the labels on with double sided poster tape.  Once I got started sorting the items into groups, it made it easier and seemed less stressful.  Here is what it looks like now.

Are
you
ready
to
see
it?

Get
ready
to
be...

jealous!  (just kidding)

I can't believe how much better it looks.  I will be able to find things easily now.  I feel like a weight has been lifted off of my shoulders.
