Monday Made It

Photo of WOlfelicious
I am FINALLY joining the Made it Monday linky for the summer.  I can't believe this is my first time this summer?  I feel like such a slacker compared to how often I joined last year.

Anyways, I have finally started working on some new things.

Have you seen the frame that says first day of school on it and the students takes their picture with it?  Well, another teacher had an awesome idea to use a K.  How perfect?!!  The grade the child is in and different than the frame.  I just loved this idea so I HAD to make a K for my kiddos.  Fitting my classroom theme, of course!

Here are the supplies I got.

I spray painted the K black!

Modge Podge the K.  Oh, how I love saying Modge Podge. Modge Podge.  It is just such a fun word to say.

Ta- Da!!!!!  I added my name on it so they could always remember me. :)  (I may paint the letters a different color because they blend in so much!)  What do you think?

Here is my want to be kindergartener holding my K.   What a great model!!!

I do love it but I do think the letters may look better red or blue or green!

I love pocket charts.  This year I wanted to add some more excitement to mine.  Here is the before picture.

Here is my after picture.  I love how this turned out too.  The zebra print duck tape was SO easy to use.  I am amazed at how different it looks.

Another item I made was my Zebra Print Bunting!! (I added the bunting to my TPT store!)  It says Kindergarten going across my windows.  It looks so good!  The last flag on the document is editable so you could make it say whatever you would like.

As you can see I have been a busy beaver right at the end of the summer.  Only 2 week left!!!!  Ahhhhh!!

Thanks for stopping by!

    1. It was super easy!! I just followed the sew line in the chart to make putting on the tape straight. I just went for it and it worked. Not hard at all. Lay the tape down and press.

  10. I am not for sure if they make it with surf boards. If they don't, they need to.

  12. Thanks for sharing! I loved everything! I never thought of decorating a K! I am also having a jungle theme in the fall (our school's PBIS theme is Jungle/Safari). I love the zebra duct tape on your pocket chart. I'll try that too! :) I decorated some clipboards and a letter "E" for my last name. There are photos on my blog if you want to check them out.
